Real Estate council of the Netherlands (RVR)

In the Netherlands several government agencies are concerned with public real estate. Together they cooperate in the Real Estate council of the Netherlands (RVR)
Each agency annually buys for about half a billion Euros in land and buildings. Approximately the same amount, the annual sales of real estate, is sold through one of the agencies, the State Property and development agency.
Although the Netherlands is a small country, our prosperity makes us build a lot of real estate like highways, railway tracks, wind farms and government buildings. This asks for a clustering of knowledge and information located at the various real estate government agencies. Understanding each other's positions and planned real estate transactions prevents colliding department interests and unintentional inflation of real estate prices. Exchange of expertise also makes the government a strong and professional player in the real estate market.
